This article examines the one of the most pressing issues, caused by the massive migration of the population of the Republic of Moldova on its national security. There are highlited such negative aspects of population departure abroad as demographic issues, the ensuring of the labor market with high-skilled workers, including the emergence of the phenomenon of „brain drain”, depopulation of the villages, the increasing number of abandoned children, etc.
