Descriere: The present article is dedicated to the cooperation of Moldova with one of the international organizations of great influence on the European continent, namely the Council of Europe. There are reviewed briefly the main activities of the Coun cil of Europe in the democratization of Moldovan society, such as building the rale of state law, respecting human rights, preparing democratic elections, in creasing the role of media in society, NGOs, etc. It is also considered the coop eration with the Moldovan authorities with the Information Office of the Council of Europe in Moldova. The end of the article contains necessary conclusions and certain proposals are made.
