In the present article, the essence of political technologies is revealed, as well as their functions and classifications are described. Illegitimate political technologies are investigated (for example, in Ukraine, Russia, Moldova), and their manipulative nature is determined. Recommendations for public authorities on the mechanism of legitimizing the sphere of political technologies are developed.
