Creșterea economică nu înseamnă întotdeauna bunăstare pentru oameni, nici activități prietenoase cu mediul înconjurător. Odată cu criza „statului bunăstării generale” s-a pus problema elaborării unor politici sociale active, care nu creează dependență de ajutoarele sociale, care integrează și soluții economice la p\roblemele și nevoile cu care se confruntă persoanele sau grupurile vulnerabile. În acest context s-a profilat economia socială ca o abordare complementară, oferită de mediul privat, asociativ, antreprenorial, la problemele sociale cu care se confruntă oamenii și comunitățile. Acest articol propune o analiză a rolului economiei sociale în accelerarea implementării celor 17 obiective de dezvoltare durabilă (ODD) ale Agendei 2030, în special ODD 1-„fără sărăcie”, ODD 5-„egalitate de gen”, ODD 8-„muncă decentă și creștere economică”, ODD 10-„reducerea inegalităților”.

Economic growth does not always generate welfare for people, or environmental protection. With the crisis of the “general welfare state” has arisen the need to elaborate active social policies, which do not create dependence on social assistance, which also integrates economic solutions to the social problems and needs faced by vulnerable people or groups. In this context, the social economy was profiled as a complementary approach, offered by the private sector, associative and entrepreneurial environment, to the social problems that people and communities are currently facing. This article proposes an analysis of the role of the social economy in accelerating the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, in particular SDG 1- “poverty-free”, SDG 5- “gender equality”, SDG 8- “decent work and economic growth”, SDG 10- “reducing inequalities”.
