Information is treated as something separate from such categories as matter and energy. More and more facts and identified regularities signal in favor of the priority of information over matter and energy. It is proposed to consider information as substance that has its specific features. Concrete technologies of building modern information databases are named and measures for the intensification of informatization of all the spheres of the society’s activity are proposed.
