This article provides an analysis of the national and international mechanisms for prevention of discrimination. It makes reference to the promotion of discrimination prevention policies. It also discusses issues concerning the prohibition of discrimination in the light of the European Convention for the Protection of fundamental rights and freedoms. International mechanisms created for human rights protection and the promotion of policies against discrimination are discussed. The article also mentions aspects of legal liability and categories of c onflicts determined by diverse acts of discrimination.
