Denmark recorded a trade surplus of 6897.20 DKK Million in October of 2014. Balance of Trade in Denmark averaged 1483 DKK Million from 1960 until 2014, reaching an all-timeheight of 10821.40 DKK Million in October of 2013 and a record low of -2969 DKK Million in December of 1985. Balance of Trade in Denmark is reported by the Statistics Denmark. Danish economy depends heavily on foreign trade. Denmark is self-sufficient in energy producing, oil, natural gas, wind and bioenergy. Its principal exports are machinery, instruments and food products. Denmark imports mainly machinery and equipment, raw materials and semi manufactures for industry, chemicals, grain, foodstuffs and consumer goods. Trade with other EU countries accounts for almost 69% of its exports and 74% of its imports. Germany is Denmark’s most important trading partner.
