The article deals with the formation of effective state control at the regional level in the context of increasing globalization and regionalization in the implementation of public policy. The problem of state control in terms of reforming the territorial executive authorities and local self-empowerment is considered a separate line of development functions of local state administrations concerning the control at the regional level, including the activities of local authorities in respect of compliance with their decisions and norms of the Constitution and Ukrainian legislation.
