A thorough analysis of the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in the field of administration of road safety indicates that despite the delayed issuing of the law on road safety, the appointment of the Prime Minister as the President of the National Council for road safety and approval of the state strategy for road safety, at present there isn’t any criteria for assessing the effectiveness of public authorities engaged in administration of road safety, still a presence of departmental interests is being present in the process of solving the road safety issues, it is considered to be inadmissible that the Ministry of Internal Affairs remains responsible for the subject of road safety.
