Actualitatea subiectului rezidă în condițiile actuale, când turismul este unul dintre cele mai promițătoare domenii ale economiei mondiale, ceea ce determină necesitatea aplicării mecanismelor moderne ale managementului strategic. Scopul acestui articol este de a studia sistemul managementului strategic de dezvoltare a complexului turistic regional al Moldovei. Baza metodologică a cercetării este analiza sistematică, structurală și comparativă. În prezentul articol este prezentată o analiză retrospectivă a formării managementului strategic al complexului turistic regional al Republicii Moldova. A fost analizată strategia dezvoltării turismului în Moldova ,,Turism 2020”, precum și măsurile luate de Guvern în vederea implementării acesteia. Sunt formulate concluziile privind îmbunătățirea sistemului de management strategic al unui complex turistic al țării.

Actuality of the topic is caused by the fact that in modern conditions tourism is one of the most perspective areas of the world economy, which determines the need for implementation in it of the modern strategic management mechanisms. The purpose of this article is to study strategic management system of development of the regional tourist complex of Moldova. The methodological basis of the research is the systematic, structural and comparative analysis. In the article is presented a retrospective analysis of the formation of strategic management of regional touristic complex of the Republic of Moldova. It has been analyzed the Tourism Development Strategy in Moldova “Tourism 2020”, and the government’s measures for its implementation. It has been formulated conclusions on the improvement of the strategic management system of a country’s tourist complex.
